Absolutely lovely spot. Such an unexpected joy to stay here. The entire property has been renovated thoughtfully and with love. The rooms are plain (I'm sure the bathrooms will be next in the renovation list) and completely satisfactory but it's everything else that is wonderful. The gift shop was amazing, filled with carefully curated local fare. I spent a lot of money and could have spent more. The restaurant was a restful, light-filled space, perfect for staring out at the ever-changing water. And the food! Delicious! This was a highlight for us and I've already recommended it to several people. Stay here. You won't be disappointed.
Breathtaking view available either on the side of the building or on the balconies of most rooms. The original building is beautiful and kept its charm whilst being decorated with taste. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Someone is always available at the front office. Coffee is readily available in the morning. I didn't get a chance to try the food, but the menu seemed good. The town is also quite charming.
Amazing location, extraordinarily thoughtful and hard working staff and the perfect end to our northern adventure. And that breakfast was just so so good! I can't wait to come back! My only regret was that I only had one night to say.
